These are awesome for school lunch boxes, being nut-free and all! Always be sure to use food grade oils, and avoid peppermint if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding.


  • 1/2C seed flour (make by grinding sunflower seeds or peptise in blender – 1C seeds = 1.5C flour)
  • 1-2T cacao powder
  • 1T date paste
  • 1T coconut oil
  • 3 drops peppermint oil
  • 1/2t psyllium


  1. Mix all ingredients together.
  2. Roll into balls and set in the fridge. Roll in shredded coconut if you like to help them hold their shape, if they’ll be sitting in lunch boxes for a few hours.
